Duties and Responsibilities

Project Implementation Follow-up

  • Carry out technical assessments of identified sites and make recommendations for appropriate tailored interventions.

  • Take part in the identification of sites where work is to be carried out.

  • Studying & preparing BOQs, scope of works and drawings using engineering software such as AutoCAD & SolidWorks.

  • Implementation & supervision of site maintenance activities in the camps.

  • Contribute in registration of CFW workers in collaboration with team leader and CMUs.

  • Train daily workers and other hired skilled laborers.

  • Allocate tasks and supervise the on-site workforce according to instructions given by CCCM team leader/CCCM PM.

  • Supervise contractors and engage with communities, and ensure the best use of available resources.

  • Organize, plan and supervise community participation through CFW activities.

  • Manage the supply of worksite materials as instructed by the CCCM team leader by collaboration with the logistics department.

  • Report to the team leader & PM on the state of 'field' stock on his sites.

  • Provide training to all relevant beneficiaries to ensure the safe and appropriate use of facilities/maintenance works installed.

  • Collaborate with CMUs and other actors’ field staff as needed to facilitate the smooth implementation of activities as instructed by CCCM team leader.

  • Collaborate closely with other ACTED’s teams and/or activities operating in the camps

  • Assist in any related tasks requested by line manager

Administration/HR and finance

  • Provide day to day management for the CCCM CFW team overseeing the activities in the assigned camps.

  • Ensure that all of the needed administrative documentation is scanned and filed on monthly bases with the relevant department according to CFW workers.

Reporting and Data share:

  • Compile all activity monitoring forms and submit them to the field data entry team to ensure that all are shared regularly and accurately reflected on the data bases on monthly bases.

  • Report and flag all site maintenance projects and needs from camps to the CCCM team leader.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or technical engineering or equivalent.

  • Minimum 2 years working in Humanitarian Organization in the program (CCCM, WASH, Shelter). Practical work in implementing engineering projects in camps is highly preferred.

  • Good experience in engineering software included AutoCAD.

  • Experience in willingness to work in a rural environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, working with as a team member.

  • Good negotiation skills and coordinate skills with several actors.

  • Good understanding of SPHERE standards and environmental protection considerations.

  • Ability to multitask with competing demands under tight deadlines and work under pressure.

  • Fully computer literate (Microsoft Office included excel)

  • Fluency in Arabic (written and spoken), good English skills is highly preferred
