About the role
The postholder will support all programme teams (development, humanitarian and advocacy) to plan, implement and report on programmes in line with Christian Aid’s Quality Standards (along with relevant external standards) and minimum requirements. This role is key to enabling the processes that assess performance against Christian Aid’s quality standards and minimum requirements for programme practice. Using the quality standards to identify capacity and performance gaps, the postholder will help ensure all programmes have the capacity and support required to deliver high quality programmes. The role will also be the lead adviser for strategic planning in Christian Aid's International Department.
You will have considerable experience of working internationally, providing programme quality support and guidance, as well as direct experience of programme implementation in line with the CHS. You will have experience of working with local partners and other organisations to promote and strengthen programme quality. You will have strong written skills, being able to produce high quality reports and analysis within short timeframes and you will be methodical in your approach to documentation. You will be experienced in planning, designing and delivering CHS related training programmes and in using digital solutions to provide guidance and support. Whatever your background you’ll be able to relate to people at all levels and will be able to represent and promote Christian Aid’s Programme Quality work to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and networks.
