Technical Officer (IT) – CSS Project

The Role
The Technical Officer (IT Programmer) will be seconded to the DepEd/ICTS and will play a key role to develop, enhance and support IT initiatives. Working under the guidance of the ICTS director and under the supervision of the Solutions Division OIC and IT Advisor, the IT programmer will write code as per the technical specifications, conforming to the industry-specific coding standards and best practices


  • Strong database skills, proven experience with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, & CSS3
  • Should have 1-3 years in Symfony 2, 3, 4
  • Should have good knowledge of other PHP frameworks
  • At least 2 years’ hands-on experience working on in a Linux environment
  • Good working experience with Apache2 and Nginx web servers
  • Ability to adapt and pick up new techniques and technology
  • Excellent technical knowledge is a must
  • Experience working on GIT version control system
  • Experience working on Doctrine ORM (Object Relational Mapper)
  • Good to have included interests in ReactJS, React Native, CI/CD, Docker, SASS/SISS
  • Experience in Data Warehousing (ETL/OLAP)
  • Experience in mobile application (Android and IOS)

Contract length: Fixed Term position until August 2021 based in National Capital Region, DepEd Central Office
