Could you manage the successful delivery of British Red Cross (BRC) and Lebanese Red Cross (LRC) programmes?
The British Red Cross is seeking a Programme Manager with technical Cash and Voucher Assistance experience to provide key strategic and programmatic management and ensure that programme activities are completed on time and within budget.
About the role
You will strategically plan, coordinate, and manage BRC’s efforts to respond effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner to the changing needs of the most vulnerable individuals, household and communities affected by the crisis in Lebanon.
This role will involve provision of strategic direction, technical guidance, project management and oversight support to the affected host national society (LRC) with a specific focus on contributing to the capacity development of the HNS in Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) and support for CVA programming delivery.
The successful candidate will effectively boost and streamline the implementation mechanisms of the BRC/LRC programme activities by defining the best channels to do so, with a focus on impact and using a coordinated approach, particularly with Movement partners.
About the person
You will have a comprehensive understanding of the current political, social, and humanitarian situation in the Middle East, especially around the Lebanon Crisis and the effect of the Syria Crisis on Lebanon.
You will have proven and considerable experience in the development and management of multi-million pound and multi-faceted humanitarian assistance programmes.
You will have experience with the design and implementation of Cash and Voucher Assistance, along with a general knowledge of key sectors (eg. livelihoods, relief, emergency shelter).
You will have strong staff management experience and demonstrable experience of managing humanitarian, recovery, and/or development programmes in the Middle East.
Ideally, you with the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement before and have an excellent understanding of how the Movement operates.

About the team
The Programmes and Partnerships department provides single oversight of our programme work, our long-term capacity building partnerships, and disaster management. The department will work in partnership not only externally with National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the IFRC and ICRC, but also internally within a matrix relationship of technical advisers and policy professionals in other teams.
