Assistant Manager: Srijan Social Internship

About Srijan Social Internship:

UPES has launched Srijan Social internships as part of School for life. Under this, all first-year students are required to go through 6-8 weeks long work internships with social sector organizations.

Srijan social internships are full-time engagements with social sector organizations. The idea of these internships is to make students aware of the social issues in India. Through these internships, students will come face to face with social development challenges that India is facing. This exposure will help students build empathy and develop valuable leadership skills. After these internships, some students might start working on social issues while at the campus or become social entrepreneurs, social sector professionals or join social sector wings of companies and government.

Assistant Manager: Srijan Social Internship


1.       Candidate must be Post Graduate in Rural Management/Social Work/ Development Studies/ Social Science or in any relevant social sciences field from a  reputed institute.

2.       3 - 5 years of work experience with NGO or CSR.

3.       Excellent communication skills, and presentation skills.

4.       Tech savvy and highly proficient in computer applications. (MS office)

About The Role: Assistant Manager: Srijan Social Internship

Assistant Manager will coordinate and execute the social work/volunteering initiatives with more than 3000 students of UPES (from various courses/streams), ensuring that some impact is made by the volunteering hours given by the students during the Srijan Social Internship. As the assistant manager, he/she will develop a plan to implement the initiative effectively. 


   1. Partnership & Outreach:

·         Outreach with New NGO & International NGO Partners, academic institutions, government bodies, international organizations, UN bodies etc.

·         High level of Interpersonal and networking skills.

·         Good exposure/presence in social networking platforms.

·         Excellent Communication Skills.

·         Strong Presentation Abilities, must be an out-of-the-box thinker and excellent team player

·         Advanced computer skills in MS Office.

2. Partnership Management:

·         Management of existing partners for a long-term partnership.

·         Coordinating with NGO Founders, Heads, and SPOC.

·         Proposal Writing

3. Operations:

·         Manage overall operations for a social internship that includes orientation, induction, and aligning students with NGOs as per their interest area.

·         Event Planning, Management, Facilitation, and Implementation

·         Documentation and Report Writing.

·         Data Collection & Content Analysis

4. Student engagement:

·         Deliver or organize various motivating and training engagements with students Outreach marquee speakers for webinars and lectures.

5. Social Work Initiatives

·         Implementing Social Work Projects under the Global Society of Social Soldiers of the registered society of UPES.

6. Key skills

Excellent Communication, Team Coordination, Teamwork, Problem-Solving Skills, Handling Students and NGO Partners

Renumeration: 5 – 6 LPA CTC
