Job Description

In response to the request of the Government of Ukraine, UNOPS opened an office in Ukraine in 2017, which provides a broad spectrum of services to the Government and the people of Ukraine. The portfolio includes projects in the areas of rule of law, crisis recovery, good governance, human resources management, procurement, and logistics.

Under the supervision of the Head of Programme Management Office (PMO), with day to day coordination with other communications officers and Office/projects’ personnel, the Communications Officer will be responsible for efficient and effective management of communications activities. He/she will contribute to the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of communication actions and materials, while ensuring full compliance with UNOPS and different donors visibility requirements and guidelines. This will lead to raising awareness of target audiences about UNOPS, its projects’ results and impacts.

Education

Masters OR Bachelors degree in journalism/media, public relations, communications, linguistics, international relations, social sciences or other relevant studies is required.

Experience

Minimum two years post-Masters degree or four years post-Bachelor’s degree of relevant experience in public relations and communications, including proven experience in drafting various communication and visibility materials, organising events working with international organizations, government institutions, diplomatic missions is required.

Languages

Fluency oral and written English and Ukrainian is required.

Excellent drafting skills in English and Ukrainian is required.
