Tetra Tech International Development Services headquartered in Arlington, VA, is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for the USAID-funded Liberia Conservation Works Activity (Liberia CWA).

Conservation Leader: The Conservation Leader will be responsible for providing thought leadership and managerial oversight for Liberia CWA activities on conservation. This long-term position is based in Monrovia, Liberia.

Responsibilities:

  • * Develop and lead detailed work plan for implementation of the Liberia CWA conservation strategy;
  • * Provide managerial oversight over technical specialists on Liberia CWA’s conservation unit;
  • * Contribute written input to program planning and reports;
  • * Coordinate with cross-cutting services – communications; GYSI; policy; MEL; training – to ensure that conservation activities effectively contribute to the success of overall project goals;
  • * Build capacity among staff, partners and other stakeholders around conservation.
  • Economic Development and Private-Sector Engagement Leader: The Economic Development and Private Sector Engagement Leader will be responsible for providing thought leadership and managerial oversight for Liberia CWA activities on economic development and private sector engagement (PSE). This long-term position is based in Monrovia, Liberia.**
  • Responsibilities:
  • * Develop and lead detailed work plan for implementation of the Liberia CWA economic development strategy;
  • * Provide managerial oversight over technical specialists on Liberia CWA’s economic development / PSE unit;
  • * Contribute written input to program planning and reports;
  •  Coordinate with cross-cutting services – communications; GESI; policy; MEL; training – to ensure that economic development / PSE activities effectively contribute to the success of overall project goals;
  •  Build capacity among staff, partners and other stakeholders around conservation.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical area;

* At least eight (8) years of experience related to the technical area, preferably in Liberian contexts;

* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including government officials, private sector actors, financial institutions, project staff and/or donor agencies;

* USAID experience preferred;

* Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
